As parents of an adult child suffering with mental illness, Ms. Walkers' parents Benjamin and Genny had turned to group homes as a solution; believing their son could to be independent but still receive necessary supervision. After many failed attempts to place him in personal care homes or group homes; they had lacked safety, structure, and service; Benjamin and Genny started their own structured independent living home. A home that provided an affordable safe nurturing environment for individuals with disabilities to thrive and live. Continuing her parents legacy, Ms. Walker developed a place to provide safe affordable housing and care for elderly and adults with disabilities.
